The Tour consists of a visit to the wine cellar, the barrels local and the fermentation area, the visit to the Vineyard, a delightful wine tasting and, if you want, a delicious lunch at the farm
The vineyard
The vineyards are situated in volcanic steep-sloped terraced lands between 300 and 600 meters above sea level; they are planted in volcanic soil, have high-density plantings and very low yields – only 70-90 quintals per hectare. The heart of the farm is five hectares of pre-phylloxera which are at least 100 years old. This vineyard makes an half dozen wines that are all excellent!
You will have the chance to enjoy a unique and charming experience with this wine & food tour inside one of the best places in Amalfi Coast, well known for the local wine production. This tour is concerned in offering to people “customized” wine-experiences:
- First of all, there is the option of the visit to the historical pre-philloxera vineyards, which is about three up to five century old, the XVII century wine cellar, with wine tasting of 3 D.O.C wines paired with “panzanella”, a special bread salad made of double-baked whole flour bread (“pane biscottato”), fresh tomatoes and basil, all accompanied by fresh mozzarella, ricotta cheese, matured cheeses and salami. This tour lasts about 1-2 hours.
- Then, you can choose the different tour which consists of a visit to the historical pre-philloxera vineyard, the XVII century wine cellar, a 4-course light lunch, with the farm’s family (appetizer, first course pasta dish, cheese with salami and home-made dessert), using country traditional products, in the magical atmosphere of the vineyard. During the meal, there will be a guided wine tasting of 3 D.O.C reserve wines. The tour lasts about 2 hours.
- There is also the visit to the historical pre-philloxera vineyard, the XVII century wine cellar, a 5-course luch with the farm’s family (appetizer, first course pasta dish, second course, cheese with salami and home-made dessert) using country traditional products, in the magical atmosphere of the vineyard. During the meal, there will be a guided wine tasting of 3 D.O.C reserve wines. The tour lasts about 2-3 hours.
- Last but not the least, there is the private visit & wine tasting. It is possible to visit the “Rupestre” Church of XIth century), located close to the vineyard; then there is a private visit to the exclusive wine-reserve wineyard situated on the top of a hill (accessible by car), and after the guests will enjoy the lunch and the private tour as per the 5-couse lunch, the extra wine tasting of two old vintage wines and a sparkling one. This tour lasts about 4 hours.
